Domestic Short Hair - Silvermist - Small - Young - Female - Cat
SilverMist (about 9 months old as of November, xxxx) is a spayed female dilute tortoiseshell shorthaired kitten. SilverMist and her brother Terrence were born in a nice quiet neighborhood full of retirees that took pity on them and fed them enough to thrive, giving them just enough attention to keep them interested in people but never teaching them how to be "pet" cats used to being picked up or living underfoot in a home. They were happy living this in-between life until winter came early and most of the people who fed them went off to vacation homes in warmer climates, leaving these guys hungry, scared, and lonely. When found we took them into foster care where they are slowly coming around, right now they sit at the front of their large cage and watch everything with great interest but usually slink back timidly when someone reaches in to pick them up. Once you hold them though they don't fight, they just curl up in a little ball and want to protected. We're hoping that with a few more weeks in foster care they will open up and let their true personalities show!
