Domestic Short Hair - Peaches - Small - Adult - Female - Cat
Peaches (roughly 1 year old as of December, xxxx) is a spayed female tortoise shell tuxedo shorthaired cat. Peaches was once a family pet with 3 other cats, until one day when her family moved away, and simply left the cats locked in their home. A neighbor saw the trapped cats and did what they thought would be most helpful- smashing a window to let the cats out so they wouldn't starve. Well, they just barely survived but they wandered the streets for months living off the land and all three females had kittens. Thankfully another neighbor who knew these cats needed to be inside and get fixed managed to catch them all and Peaches is now spayed and looking for a forever family! Peaches has a sensitive soul and seems a little more troubled by her past than her happy go lucky sister Pickles. She takes a day or two to warm up to new people and places, but when she does she comes running to greet you with her tail twitching from excitement. She's not demanding at all and is often happy to just sit next to you and get a pet here and there. She does like to play but takes care of that mostly on her own, you can sit back and watch her do acrobatic acts. She's also a bit less trusting of new cats, she will even growl or hiss as she is getting to know them, but she doesn't seek confrontation and gets along beautifully with her sister Pickles so we know she can do great with other cats given time. Although she is probably too shy to enjoy being around very loud and active younger kids she is an incredibly gentle sweetheart so for families with calmer kids or regular child visitors she could be a great choice!
